I was employed by Phil Worsley (Systems & Control tutor at Joseph Whitaker School) to design a 1:1 scale wind turbine (about a metre in length and 60cm in diameter) using 3D CAD software. I was given a week and had to work with measurements scribbled down on a piece of paper and a couple of photographs of the prototype. I was able to complete the job within the time frame and my employer was incredibly pleased with the finished result.
